GBRS Group Leg Strap Kit

$37.49

The GBRS Leg Strap, along with the GBRS Group Leg Strap Screw Kit (included), attaches directly onto the True North Concepts MHA (and most other drop-down holster adapters) and, for the first time in the history of holsters, allows the shooter to choose the height where the leg strap sits. The GBRS leg strap features a unique design that eliminates the need for an external bracket. The MHA attaches directly to the Tegris reinforcement, which is seamlessly integrated into the strap’s construction. Finally, the shooter can choose the best position for their individual body size and comfort, custom tailoring their setup to their specific needs. Each GBRS Leg strap is made with Tegris, squadron laminate, adjustable 1” latch ladderloc buckle, 1” triglide, and poly elastic. The minimalistic leg strap provides a generous amount of flexibility, and it is recommended that the user try out several height adjustments to see which is most ideal before securing.

The GBRS Group Leg Strap Kit represents the culmination of over a century of tactical evolution—designed for today’s elite professionals and performance-driven shooters.

Originally introduced in the late 1800s alongside early American open-top holsters, leg straps have a long-standing legacy of enhancing holster security and draw efficiency. From the early leather tie-downs of frontier lawmen to the rugged webbing solutions popularized by British SAS operators in the 1970s, the leg strap has remained a trusted tool on the battlefield and in the line of duty.

During the early years of the Global War on Terror, dual leg straps became the norm on drop-leg holsters, offering improved retention—but often at the cost of comfort. Many shooters opted to remove the upper strap due to chafing. As gear evolved, professionals began favoring a mid-ride holster height, providing the optimal position for quick access while clearing body armor and load-bearing vests.

Today, while some shooters have moved away from leg straps entirely, many still rely on them for enhanced stability and reduced movement under stress. The GBRS Group Leg Strap Kit is precision-engineered to meet that need, offering a minimalist, functional, and secure fit.
